Government employees may get 9 consecutive days off during Eid
On the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Fitr, government employees can get 6 consecutive days of leave, including general holidays, executive orders and weekly holidays. If a government employee can ‘manage’ another day of leave along with these six days, he can enjoy 9 consecutive days of leave.
It is learned that the holy Eid-ul-Fitr may be celebrated in the country on Monday, March 31, depending on the sighting of the moon. The list of government holidays has been determined based on that calculation.
On October 17 last year, the Advisory Council of the interim government approved a five-day holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification regarding this holiday on October 21. Earlier, this holiday was three days. The current government has increased it.
According to the notification, Monday, March 31, is a general holiday on Eid-ul-Fitr. The two days before Eid, March 29 and 30 (Saturday and Sunday), and the two days after Eid, April 1 and 2 (Tuesday and Wednesday), will be government holidays by executive order.
And the day before the executive order holiday begins, that is, March 28 (Friday), there will be a weekly holiday. Including this holiday, government employees will get six consecutive days of leave.
On the other hand, if a government employee can manage the holiday on April 3 (Thursday), then he can enjoy the weekly holiday on March 4 (Friday) and March 5 (Saturday). That is, he can enjoy nine consecutive days of leave.
