Gold ornaments, mobile phone stolen from female prison guard on way to duty

Gold ornaments, mobile phone and cash were stolen from female prison guard Sathi Akhter of Dhaka Central Jail and valuables were lost. The robbery took place on Wednesday (January 7) morning in the Dhaka-bound Jhilmil lane in the Mujahid Nagar underpass area of ​​Keraniganj. The victim female prison guard has filed a written complaint with the South Keraniganj Police Station in this incident.
According to the complaint source, Sathi Akhter currently lives with her family in the staff quarters inside the Dhaka Central Jail. Like every day, today at around 6:15 am, she left for duty at Shyamoli Mental Hospital in a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw for the safety of female prisoners. When she reached the Mujahid Nagar underpass area on the way, three to four unidentified robbers stopped the CNG.
At that time, they threatened him with a country-made weapon and snatched a thick gold chain, a pair of earrings, an Android mobile phone and five thousand taka in cash from his neck. The estimated value of the stolen items is about three and a half lakh taka. When the victim screamed, the robbers quickly left the scene. South Keraniganj Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Mosharraf Hossain said that a regular case has been filed after a written complaint. A police operation is underway to identify the robbers, quickly arrest them and recover the looted items.
