GM Quader submits nomination papers for Rangpur-3 constituency

On the occasion of the 13th National Parliament election, the party’s central and local leaders have collected nomination papers from Rangpur-3 (Sadar) constituency on behalf of Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader. This Sunday (December 21) afternoon, party co-chairman and former mayor of Rangpur City Corporation Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa collected nomination papers from the Rangpur Regional Election Office.
Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa said that by submitting GM Quader’s nomination papers in Rangpur, the Jatiya Party has officially started its journey to participate in the 13th National Parliament election. The process of selecting candidates for 300 seats is underway. Although Mostafa submitted the nomination papers of the party chairman, he expressed doubts about the fairness of the election. He demanded that the same code of conduct be applied to the election in the case of JPA.
He said, “The Jatiya Party is an election-oriented party. Seeing the popularity of the party, some conspirators under the government’s umbrella have indulged in one conspiracy after another. They are trying to make the Jatiya Party controversial by tagging it to participate in the thirteenth election. However, our participation and support in the July Revolution was clear to the countrymen. Therefore, our appeal to the Election Commission is that our candidates across the country have prepared to participate in the election as a party. They must be given the legal protection of an equal number of code of conduct.” The Jatiya Party has been occupying the Rangpur-3 seat for almost three decades. This time, discussions have started after nominating a third-gender candidate as an independent candidate from this seat. The party’s central vice chairman SM Yasir, district president Ajmal Haque Lebu, Haji Abdur Razzak and local leaders were present when the nomination papers were filed on behalf of the Jatiya Party chairman.
