Gazipur police arrest four activists of banned Chhatra League

Police have arrested 4 activists of banned organization Chhatra League while preparing for a torch procession in Sreepur, Gazipur. They were arrested in the Ajugirchala area of Gazipur Union on Monday (August 11) night. The detainees are Nahid Hasan, Shabash Bepari, Shibbir Mandal and Dinar Ahmed. They are said to be activists of the Upazila Chhatra League. Eyewitnesses said that since evening, the presence of unknown youths has increased in front of Gulistan Park in Ajugirchala. When the locals became suspicious, they informed the leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal. Later, the president of the Union Chhatra Dal chased them with his leaders and activists and arrested 4 people and handed them over to the police. The police said that legal action will be taken against them after investigating them.
