Kamala promises to end the Gaza war if she becomes the president
The world’s most anticipated US presidential election campaign ends today. Tomorrow, November 5, the United States will vote for the presidential election. On this day voters will give their final decision.
However, the two presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are trying until the last minute to get the votes in their pockets. As part of that effort, Kamala, the Democratic candidate, changed her tune at the last minute to win Arab-American votes.
Before this, he had to face criticism several times for supporting Israel. However, he changed his tune by promising to end the war in Gaza.
Al Jazeera reported this information in a report.
According to the report, Arab American voters in Michigan were angry with Kamala for his support for Israel. But the Democrat candidate said this year, “This year has been difficult because of the level of death and destruction in Gaza and the civilian casualties and displacement in Lebanon.”
“It (the Gaza war) is devastating and as president (if elected) I will do everything in my power to stop the Gaza war,” Kamala told supporters at Michigan State University on Sunday local time.
Despite promising to end the war, the security of Israel also came up in Kamala’s speech. He said, ‘To bring back the hostages, to end the suffering of Gaza, the security of Israel and the Palestinian people to realize their right to dignity, freedom, security and self-determination; I will work to ensure that.
Although Kamala Harris had previously said that Israel has a “right to self-defence”. In addition, several media mentioned that Kamala has announced the continuation of the assistance that the Biden administration has been providing to Israel.
