Gaza ceasefire violation: 3 killed, including 2 children
Israel has carried out attacks on various parts of Gaza despite the ceasefire period in effect. Two Palestinians, including 2 children, were killed in the attacks. According to the Anadolu Agency report, several others were injured in drone strikes and gunfire on Saturday (January 24), citing medical sources and witnesses.
Meanwhile, a medical source told Anadolu that two teenagers from the Al-Zawara family, Salman Zakaria (14) and Mohammad Yousef (15), were killed in an Israeli bomb attack near Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia. They are residents of the Beit Lahia area. Other witnesses told Anadolu that the two teenagers were killed in an Israeli drone attack in an area from which Israeli forces withdrew in accordance with the terms of the agreement.
Earlier, a source from the Ambulance and Emergency Services Department told Anadolu Agency that several Palestinians were injured in an Israeli attack on Old Gaza Street in Jabalia, northern Gaza City. The area was also evacuated by Israeli forces under the agreement.
In another incident, a Palestinian was injured by Israeli gunfire in the al-Salatine area of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, according to medical sources. Meanwhile, a Palestinian was killed in an Israeli attack in the Kizan al-Najjar area south of Khan Yunis, according to medical sources.
In addition, a Palestinian man was hit in the head by Israeli gunfire in Khan Yunis, central southern Gaza, yesterday morning, according to medical sources. Witnesses said the incident occurred after an Israeli quadcopter drone fired at the Jaser Building intersection in the city center.
Incidentally, Israeli forces have killed more than 71,600 people in a brutal aggression against Gaza since October 2023. Most of the dead are women and children. More than 171,300 people have been injured in the operation and Gaza has been practically reduced to rubble.
In addition, according to the Gaza Health Ministry, although a ceasefire has been in effect since October 10 last year, Israel is still carrying out attacks and has so far killed 481 Palestinians and injured another 1,313.
