Gas truck explosion kills 3 in Mexico capital
A gas truck exploded in the Mexican capital. At least three people were killed. At least 70 people were burned and injured. The accident occurred on a highway southeast of Mexico City on Wednesday (September 10).
According to various international media outlets, the truck suddenly lost control and overturned, causing the explosion. The fire spread immediately. At least 30 cars were burned. The truck was carrying about 50,000 liters of gas. After a long effort, the fire was brought under control.
The trucks and cars involved in the accident have already been removed. Several of the burned and injured people being treated in hospitals are in critical condition. Therefore, the death toll is expected to rise further. An investigation has been launched to find out the cause of the accident.
