Fraud by brokers a major obstacle in manpower export: Chief Advisor
The Chief Advisor to the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has said that fraud by brokers has become a major obstacle in manpower export abroad. He also called for protecting people going abroad from them. The Chief Advisor said this at a program organized at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium on the occasion of International Migrants Day and National Expatriates Day-2025 today, Wednesday (December 17).
Stating that no work will be done properly until the brokers are removed, he said that the entire world is surrounded by brokers. The government is far from it. The government does not have the power to enter there. The Chief Advisor said that several countries, starting from the Middle East, have complained that the documents of immigrants coming from Bangladesh are not valid, all of them are fake. As a result, he also said that many countries in the world have stopped taking workers from Bangladesh.
Commenting on the issue of various countries acquiring and developing oil fields, he said, “There is a shortage of youth in the world. Meanwhile, our country is a mine of youth. It is more valuable than gold. They cannot be thrown away as dirt. They have to be used. The entire world has to come to us,” the chief advisor added, adding that there is no place for such a young workforce.
