Four bodies recovered from Buriganga have not been identified

Even after almost 24 hours, the police have not been able to identify the four bodies, including those of a woman and a child, recovered from Dhaka’s Buriganga River. Even none of the claimants of the four bodies have contacted the hospital or the police. On Saturday (August 23), around 11 am, a woman aged around 30 and a five-year-old child were recovered from the Buriganga River in Keraniganj’s Mirer Bagh area. The locals saw the two with their necks tied with a veil. Later in the evening, the naval police recovered the bodies of a 30-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man from the Madaripur Ghat area of ​​Buriganga in Kalindi Union. One of the man’s hands was tied with the woman’s. The naval police said that after the bodies were recovered, they were sent to Sir Salimullah Medical College Mitford Hospital for autopsy. The autopsy of both has been completed. Although the identities could not be established, police believe that all four people were killed.
