Former MP Mustafa Jalal arrested
Police have arrested former member of parliament (MP) of Dhaka-7 constituency Mustafa Jalal Mohiuddin. He was arrested in a murder case.
He was arrested from Mohammadpur area early Monday morning.
DMP spokesperson Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed this information to the media.
Meanwhile, it has been learned that Mohiuddin is an accused in a case related to the July-August massacre. He was arrested in that case. He will be produced in court this afternoon.
Awami League President Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister on August 5 last year in the face of student and public protests and fled to India. Most of the leaders of the party, which ruled the country for 16 consecutive years, have been missing since then. Many have fled the country, while some are hiding in the country. Many of them have been arrested by law enforcement agencies. This time, the police announced the arrest of the MP of Dhaka-7 constituency.
Awami League leader Mustafa Jalal Mohiuddin is a former member of parliament of Dhaka-7 constituency. He has been a presidium member of the Bangladesh Awami League since December 2022. He is the current president of the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA).
