Former MP Kazi Lutfur Rahman Chowdhury is no more
Dinajpur- Former MP Kazi Abu Zafar Md. Lutfur Rahman Chowdhury, elected from 6 seats, is no more (Inna-Lillahi wa Inna Ilahi Rajiun). He was 85 years old at the time of his death. His son Kazi Ismat Ahmed Rushd Chowdhury said that he died at his residence in Dinajpur at around 8 am today (December 22) due to illness.
He was a member of the National Awami Party (NAP) central committee and the president of Dinajpur district. He was also the former president of the Dinajpur District Bar Association. Kazi Abu Zafar Md. Lutfur Rahman Chowdhury, a son of the Chowdhury family of Chowdhury Gopalpur village of Palsha union of Ghoraghat upazila of Dinajpur, is survived by a son and a daughter.
Kazi Abu Zafar Md. Lutfur Rahman Chowdhury was elected as a member of the National Council from Dinajpur-6 (Hakimpur, Ghoraghat, Nawabganj and Birampur) constituency in the 1986 elections under the Khurdghar symbol from NAP. The first funeral of the deceased will be held at Dinajpur Bar Council and the second funeral will be held at 3 pm at his residence in Chowdhury Gopalpur village, Palsha Union, Ghoraghat Upazila, Dinajpur.
