Five people, including two gunmen, arrested in Mamun murder case: DB
The Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) has arrested five people, including two gunmen, in the murder of ‘top terrorist’ Mamun in the capital’s Old Dhaka. This information was given in a release on Tuesday (November 11) night. The DB said that two pistols used in Mamun’s murder have been recovered. Five people, including the two gunmen, have also been arrested. However, the names of the arrested have not been released. DMP will hold a briefing on Wednesday to provide detailed information in this regard. DB Additional Police Commissioner Md. Shafiqul Islam will present detailed information in the briefing.
Incidentally, Mamun was shot dead by two gunmen in front of the National Medical Institute Hospital in Old Dhaka last Monday. It is known that he was leaving after appearing in a case. CCTV footage shows Mamun running towards the hospital premises. At that time, two masked men fired several rounds at him from behind. Then they fled from there.
