Fishermen go to catch Hilsa after ban ends

The 22-day ban on the main breeding season of Hilsa ended at midnight on Saturday (October 25). Since then, fishermen have been catching Hilsa in the Meghna and Tetulia rivers of Bhola. However, despite going down to the river for a long time, they are not getting the desired amount of Hilsa, so the fishermen are satisfied with what they are getting. Although the catch of Hilsa in the net is low, various fish including koral, pangas, poa are being caught as expected.
Fishermen of Bhola said that after the ban, they are going to the river in groups with full hope. If the current amount of fish including Hilsa is caught for another 7-8 days, then it will be possible to repay the loan. It is worth noting that the government banned all types of fishing including Hilsa in the Meghna and Tetulia rivers of Bhola on October 4, because this is the main breeding season of Hilsa.
