Fire in Purana Paltan, 5 units of the Fire Service are working.

An electric short circuit caused a fire to break out on the second floor of a four-story building in Purana Paltan, Dhaka. Five units of the Fire Service are working to control the fire after getting the news.

In a building called Manikganj House the fire broke out in the law chamber on the ground floor at 9:17 am today.

Duty Officer of the Fire Service Control Room Lima Khanam confirmed the matter to Dhaka Times. She said, Fire Service received a report that a fire broke out on the second floor of a four-story building in Purana Paltan of Dhaka on Tuesday morning. Two units of Siddiqbazar Fire Station reached the spot after receiving the information at 9:24 am and started extinguishing the fire. Later, three more units joined the fire extinguishing work at around 9:45 am.

The Fire Service official could not immediately provide the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
