Fire breaks out in 10-storey building in Keraniganj, damages estimated at around Tk 1 million

A fire broke out on the seventh floor of a 10-storey residential building in Keraniganj Model Town. The fire broke out around 2 am on Friday (August 22). The Fire Service said that its members went to the spot after receiving information around 2 am. The fire was brought under control at 2:45 am and completely extinguished at 3:30 am. Keraniganj Fire Service Senior Station Officer Hasan Ul Alam said that property worth approximately Tk 10 lakh was damaged. However, the cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed. However, local residents claim that the fire started from an AC explosion.
