Ferry services on Daulatdia-Paturia route normal

Ferry services on the country’s important waterway route Daulatdia-Paturiya in Rajbari have returned to normal after being suspended due to dense fog. The density of fog in the river area has increased since Wednesday night. As a result, the entire waterway was covered in a thick blanket of fog at 5:40 am. Due to which the marking lights went out of focus. The BIWTC authorities announced the suspension of ferry services to avoid boat accidents. When the fog cleared, ferry services returned to normal around 8 am.

BIWTC Daulatdia Ghat Manager Md. Salahuddin said, “Ferry services were suspended from 5:40 am on Wednesday due to dense fog. When the fog cleared, ferry services returned to normal around 8 am. The stranded vehicles are being quickly cleared.”
