Ferry services have been suspended due to dense fog, with hundreds of vehicles waiting to cross.

The BIWTC authorities have suspended ferry services on the Daulatdia-Paturia route to avoid boat accidents due to dense fog. Ferry services were suspended from 1:40 am on Tuesday night due to increased fog on this route.

Since the ferry services were suspended for a long time, more than 150 vehicles are stranded in the Daulatdia area waiting to cross the river.

BIWTC Daulatdia Ghat Manager Md. Salauddin said that ferry services on this route have been suspended from 12:40 am to avoid accidents due to fog. Ferry services will resume as soon as the fog density decreases. Currently, 12 ferries are ferrying passengers and vehicles on this route.
