Female journalist tortured in Israeli prison
Farrah Abu Ayash, a female journalist for the Iranian news agency Tasnim, has been accused of being tortured in an Israeli prison. According to a Tasnim report, she has been held in an Israeli prison for 110 days.
According to the report, journalist Farrah Abu Ayash is a Palestinian correspondent for the Tasnim news agency in the West Bank city of Al-Khalil (Hebron). She was arrested on August 6 from her home in the village of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron. She was later transferred to the North Kabul (Moscow) detention center, where she alleged that she was tortured, harassed, and humiliated by prison guards.
Following her arrest, the Tasnim news agency began investigating her case. However, the Iranian news agency refrained from publishing the news due to advice from other journalists, consultation with her lawyer, and Farrah Abu Ayash’s personal concerns. However, after revealing Farah Abu Ayyash’s horrific prison experience and consulting with her lawyer again, Tasnim officially released her case.
