February elections to be festive: Chief Advisor

Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has said that the 13th National Assembly elections to be held in February will be festive. He said this at a meeting of the National Consensus Commission with political parties on Sunday (September 14) to determine the legal basis and implementation process of the July Charter. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Advisor. Dr. Yunus said that the real rebirth of the nation will be through elections. Such sacrifices will be worthwhile only when we can achieve that rebirth. The commission held its last meeting with political parties on September 11. Although discussions were held on the implementation of the July Charter that day, no final decision could be reached. According to the commission, the July Charter is not just an outline of political reforms – it is a long-term roadmap. Which will strengthen the foundation of democracy and good governance in the country. However, its implementation requires all-out political consensus.
