Fear of disaster in elections if AAP not controlled: Manju

AB Party Chairman Mujibur Rahman Manju has expressed his fear that if the Awami League workers and supporters are not controlled, a disaster can befall the next election. What power does the government have to prevent the Awami League’s sabotage around the election at this time? He also raised the question. He said this at a roundtable discussion titled One Year of the Interim Government: Ministry-Wide Review organized by IPD at the National Press Club on Sunday (August 10). The AB Party Chairman said that a stable government is needed in the country for the next 5 years to protect the stability of Bangladesh and the July uprising. At the event, BNP Chairperson’s Advisor Sukomal Barua said – due to the absence of an elected government, the ministries are now in a situation of lack of accountability. He expressed hope for a fair election at this time. In addition, Jamaat leader Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair said that although the July Charter has been announced, the question of how it will be implemented has not yet been answered. The July Charter must have a legal basis. If elections are not held based on the July Charter, the country will go into darkness.
