Farooqui tells how a friend was killed in the ‘Aynaghar’
On December 4, 2013, former general secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan BNP, Sajedul Islam Sumon, went missing from the Bashundhara residential area of the capital. He was never found again. The interim government’s chief advisor, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, along with local and foreign media workers and victims, visited the Aynaghar on Wednesday morning. On this day, they visited the DGFI in Kachukhete, Dhaka, and the RAB Aynaghar in Uttara and Agargaon.
After this visit, the interim government’s cultural advisor, Mostafa Sarwar Farooqui, has been vocal about the ‘Aynaghar’ on social media. He has described how BNP leader Sajedul was killed in the Aynaghar.
Farooqui wrote on Facebook, ‘Maybe my childhood friend Sajedul Islam Sumon was kept in one of these rooms. In such a room, he was trembling with fear of the unknown.
The cultural advisor made an emotional post on his verified Facebook, remembering his friend Sajedul Islam Suman, who was a victim of disappearance.
He also wrote, “Sitting in such a room, he might have raised his hands in the court of Allah and cried and said – Allah, save me for this time. I will not do politics and politics anymore. Save me for my child. Save me for my mother.”
He wrote, “We, 17 crore people, were trapped in such a room for sixteen years. And I used to secretly say, Allah save us from the hands of this witch.”
Farooqui wrote, “My last conversation with Suman was while I was hiding in a hospital in Uttara. I had a photo of his nephew Abrar with me. I clearly remember his last words, ‘Friend, Abrar, take it easy. Otherwise, I will act badly.’
The cultural advisor wrote, ‘I was under the rule of such a tyrant that I could not say a single word for you, Suman. Later, I learned that on the orders of the human beast Ziaul Ahsan, he injected you and threw you into the cold lake. The father who was supposed to return home and eat rice with his child was turned into food for the fish of the cold lake by this group of witches.’
He wrote, ‘When someone comes to speak on behalf of these hyenas, the blood rushes to my head. I lose my composure.’
