Former Minister of Aviation and Tourism Farooq Khan was arrested

Former Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister and Awami League presidium member Muhammad Farooq Khan has been arrested. He was elected Member of Parliament 6 times from Gopalganj-1 Constituency.

He was arrested by the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Monday night. Later they handed over Farooq Khan to DB police.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Additional Commissioner (DB) Rezaul Karim Mallick confirmed the matter.

Sources confirmed that Farooq Khan was arrested from his cantonment house.

Farooq Khan is accused in several cases related to the casualties in the anti-discrimination student movement.

Awami League presidium member Farooq Khan won from Gopalganj-1 seat (Muksudpur and Kashiani Upazila 7 Union) in the 12th National Parliament Election.
