The DMP Commissioner said that this time a large number of DB, SWAT and other traffic police will be deployed in the metropolis including the terminals during Eid. Truck and lorry movement will be stopped to ensure that passengers complete their Eid journey without any hindrance. Passengers cannot be harassed under any circumstances.
At the same time, Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic) Anisur Rahman said that if the fare is higher than the fare mentioned in the BRTA chart, the route permit of that vehicle will be cancelled. Meanwhile, labor leader Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, coordinator of the Bus Owner-Worker Unity Council, said that everyone, including bus owners and workers, are working together to reduce the suffering of passengers.
