Evin Lewis has been ruled out of the T20 series.

Bad news in the West Indies camp: Evin Lewis has been ruled out of the T20 series against Bangladesh owing to injury. Experienced batsman Andre Fletcher has returned in his place.

Fletcher last appeared for the West Indies during the Sri Lanka tour last October. After being dismissed for 4 runs in a match in Dambulla, he was dropped from the next series against England. This time, Lewis’ injury has given the 37-year-old batsman another chance.

Fletcher’s record in 58 T20Is that he has played for the Caribbean is not very enticing. However, he brings a lot of franchise leagues experience around the world.

Earlier, Lewis hurt himself during the second match of the ODI series against Bangladesh. He could not feature in the last match of the series.

The first match of the series in St. Vincent starts on Monday at 6 am Bangladesh time.
