Elected parliament will face legal threat if referendum is cancelled: Shishir Monir

Elected parliament will face legal threat if referendum is cancelled. Jamaat lawyer Shishir Monir has claimed that there is no possibility of the referendum being automatically cancelled. Jamaat’s central committee executive committee member and lawyer Shishir Monir told reporters at the High Court today (March 30).
At the time, he said that he protested the cancellation of about 20 ordinances, including the ordinances related to the disappearance commission, the ACC reform commission and the appointment of Supreme Court judges. If the referendum to be held on the schedule announced by the Election Commission is cancelled, the results of the general election will also be cancelled.
He also said that all political parties have reached a consensus on 30 issues in the National Consensus Commission formed by the interim government. BNP is also hesitant to accept those issues.
