Only an elected government can rebuild the country: Tarique Rahman

Only an elected government of the people’s votes can rebuild the country, said BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

He said, the elected representatives of the people must be respected. The representatives of the people must also serve the people. Both parties must be actively involved in the government, so that equality, participation and development can be ensured for all. He said this in a post on X Handle (formerly Twitter) yesterday.

Tarique Rahman said, the longer the democratic elections in Bangladesh are delayed, the more severe the fragile system that the Awami League has established to organize its sugarcane will be. With the country’s public health, education system, the problems faced by farmers, the challenges faced by businesses, the political bias that exists in the judiciary and government workplace, we will not be able to move forward on the path of building a developed Bangladesh.
