Elder brother dies after hearing news of younger brother’s death

The incident took place in Bhaluka Chandpur Uttarpara of Dhulihar Union in Satkhira on Sunday morning (February 22). The deceased were Abdul Karim (52), son of the deceased Abul Kashem of Bhaluka Chandpur Uttarpara, and Abdul Gafur (50).
According to local sources, younger brother Abdul Gafur was suffering from cancer. He died while undergoing treatment at Satkhira Medical College Hospital early yesterday morning. After hearing this news, elder brother Abdul Karim died of a heart attack. The burial of the two brothers was completed in the family graveyard in the afternoon.
Satkhira Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Masudur Rahman said, if something like this had happened, it would be very heartbreaking. However, no one informed the police station about the incident.
