Eight political parties, including Jamaat, march towards Jamuna with five demands

Eight Islamic parties, including Jamaat-e-Islami, have started a march with five demands, including the implementation of the July Charter and proportional representation for parliamentary elections. The march began from Paltan in the capital at 11 am today (November 6) to submit a memorandum to Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus.
The parties are Jamaat-e-Islami, Islami Andolan Bangladesh, Khelafat Majlis, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis, Bangladesh Khelafat Andolan, Bangladesh Nejame Islam Party, Jatiya Ganatantrik Party (JAGPA) and Bangladesh Unnayan Party. The leaders of the parties announced this program at a press conference at the central office of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis in Purana Paltan in the capital on Monday.
Earlier, they held a meeting in Purana Paltan in the capital. At the press conference, Jamaat-e-Islami welcomed the call for talks by the interim government to build consensus among political parties. However, during that discussion, the party’s Nayeb Ameer Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher demanded the appointment of a referee.
