Education Minister’s message on question paper leakage and private teachers’ salaries
Education Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon said that exam fraud and question paper leakage will not return. In the past, effective steps were taken to stop fraud and question paper leakage during my tenure. This time too, discipline will be maintained in educational institutions through strict monitoring and necessary measures. He said these things at a press conference at the Education Ministry’s meeting room at the Secretariat today (February 18). State Minister for Education Bobby Hajjaj was present with him at the time.
Responding to journalists’ questions about the low salaries of private teachers and the increase in facilities, the new Education Minister said that the government is aware of the matter. A decision will be announced when the time comes. Milon said that a comprehensive reform initiative will be taken to make the education system up-to-date and world-class. Emphasis will be placed on curriculum review, digital literacy and English proficiency. Initiatives will be taken to include nanotechnology, artificial intelligence and robotics in education according to the needs of the fourth industrial revolution.
In a message to the students, the Education Minister said, “We cannot move forward with the ‘old’ education system. The world is now a global village. We need to build an education system that is in line with international standards. For this, work will be done to convert it into a digital platform, develop technology-based skills and formulate a modern knowledge-based curriculum.” Asked about allegations of irregularities and corruption in the Education Ministry, the Minister said, “We will not hold anyone accountable for what we have done in the past. However, there was no corruption during my time and there will be no corruption this time either.” Necessary investigations will be conducted into allegations of irregularities in MPO registration and educational institution registration.
