EC holds another meeting with law enforcement agencies

The Election Commission (EC) has held a meeting with law enforcement agencies to exchange views on law and order and pre-preparatory issues ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections. The meeting, held at the Election Building in Agargaon in the capital at around 10:30 am today (November 27), was chaired by Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin. It is learnt that the EC will review the security of the elections and give instructions to determine the strategy. At the same time, the issue of how long the law enforcement agencies will be on the ground before and after the elections and how many members will be deployed at the polling stations may also be finalized in today’s meeting.
Earlier, the first round of pre-preparatory meetings were held on October 20. In that meeting, it was proposed to deploy law enforcement agencies for eight days before and after the elections. In total, it is estimated that this time there may be 13 to 18 members of the law enforcement agencies at the polling stations.
