Drug dealer arrested with 400 pieces of Yaba in Begumganj
The District Detective Branch (DB) of Noakhali has arrested an accused in multiple drug cases, including 400 pieces of Yaba and five thousand taka for selling drugs, in a special operation in Begumganj.
The arrested Abul Hasan Bablu (40) is the son of Abul Hashem of Khalpar area of Jamadar Bari, Eklashpur village, Eklashpur UP, No. 7, Begumganj Upazila.
Begumganj Model Police Station sent him to the district jail through the court this Thursday morning.
Earlier, on the basis of secret information, the DB team arrived at the entrance of the middle worker house in Begumganj adjacent to the paved road leading to Maijdi-2 intersection at around 8 pm on Wednesday and arrested Abul Hasan Bablu after conducting a raid with the help of SI (Retd.) Mohammad Akter Hossain and the accompanying officer force. At that time, 400 pieces of orange-colored Yaba tablets and five thousand taka for selling Yaba in cash were also seized from his custody.
Meanwhile, Liton Dewan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Begumganj Model Police Station, said that the arrested Abul Hasan Bablu is a professional drug dealer and there are several drug cases against him in various police stations of the district including Begumganj Model Police Station. Bablu was sent to the district jail through the court on Thursday morning.
