Dr. Yunus thanked Mirza Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir thanked Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus for instructing to complete the election preparations by December this year. He expressed his gratitude while attending a discussion meeting organized by BFUJ and DUJ at the National Press Club on Thursday (July 10) afternoon. Mirza Fakhrul said, ‘I thank Dr. Yunus for his instructions. His instructions are very positive. BNP demands that the upcoming elections should be free, impartial and acceptable to all.’ The BNP Secretary General urged the interim government to give importance to the border killings without taking them lightly. Regarding the imposition of US tariffs, Fakhrul said, ‘The garment industry will be put to sleep if the US imposes a 35 percent tariff. This will create a big problem. The government will work on this issue with attention.’ At that time, BNP Standing Committee member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain said, “Even if autocracy has fled, that mentality still prevails in the country. Some leaders of the young leadership are saying, if this or that does not happen, that will not happen either. This mentality and the mentality of autocracy are the same. They are making journalists look bloodshot by posting on Facebook. This language is about autocracy.” Calling for more patience and tolerance to maintain the overall victory in the July coup, he said, “The people are sitting quietly and watching who is doing what, they cannot be fooled. If this or that is not done, then such and such will not happen, do not make such statements. Those who used to make these statements are no more today. The people of the country of ebb and flow have never accepted these things, nor will they accept them.”
