What did Khaleda Zia say on the question of ‘Don’t you get angry with Sheikh Hasina’?

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia was scheduled to travel abroad last November for treatment. At that time, while meeting her, Asif Nazrul, the legal advisor to the interim government, wanted to know about Sheikh Hasina and her regime. Khaleda Zia did not utter a bad word about Sheikh Hasina in any answer.

Dr. Asif Nazrul gave this information in a status on his verified Facebook page on Monday.

The legal advisor wrote in the Facebook post, ‘There was a possibility that Begum Khaleda Zia would go abroad in November for treatment. At such a time, I went to pay a courtesy call on her. We talked privately for some time at her residence.

Begum Zia praised the student leadership of the mass uprising and wished the interim government success. She said that she always keeps an eye on the country.

I want to know about her health and the difficult times of Hasina’s regime. I notice that he does not mention Sheikh Hasina’s name once. Finally, I want to know directly, you have made so many excuses, don’t you feel angry with Sheikh Hasina?

He remains silent for a while. Then he says in a low voice, what will you do when you are angry? I ask Allah.

I am surprised. For 15 years, Sheikh Hasina has told disgusting and obscene lies and brutally tortured Begum Zia and thousands of leaders and workers of her party. Yet he has not uttered a single bad word about Sheikh Hasina.

Begum Zia is going to London for treatment tomorrow. I pray to Allah that she returns to the country completely healthy. May she once again play a role in building democracy and progress in Bangladesh.’
