Don’t send sick people to Saudi Arabia just for money: Religious advisor

Religious advisor Dr. AFM Khalid Hossain has requested not to take weak, sick and unfit people to Saudi Arabia just for money. He made this request while attending the inauguration ceremony of the national level Hajj and Umrah Fair 2025 on Thursday (August 14). The advisor said that Dhaka will demand the elimination of food from Saudi government catering services and request that the toilet management in Muzdalifah be further improved. He expressed hope of providing a beautiful Hajj management in 2026 as well. He said that maximum efforts are being made to free Hajj from middlemen. He also said that when a meeting is held regarding the airfare of Hajj flights, representatives of the Hub will also be there. He said that jorda is considered a drug in Saudi Arabia and added that taking jorda and cigarettes tarnishes the image of the country. Therefore, the religious advisor discourages them from taking these.
