District Sramik League President’s hanging body recovered

The police have recovered the hanging body of Munshiganj District Sramik League President Akkas Ali from a flat in Gazipur city.
Yesterday, Monday (September 22) afternoon, Sadar Police recovered his body from a room on the 5th floor of Abed Plaza in Hakkani Housing in Uttar Chhayabithi area of ​​the city.
It has been learned that the deceased Akkas Ali (47) is the son of the deceased Hafez Ali of Bagh Mamudali area in Munshiganj Sadar. He is the owner of Medistar Diagnostic Center and Renaissance Diagnostic Center in Munshiganj city.
Mehedi Hasan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station of Gazipur Metropolitan Police, told us that he may have committed suicide.
The OC also said that Akkas Ali had moved into the flat of his friend Zahid Hasan Dhali 15-20 days ago. He was mentally disturbed due to financial crisis due to business losses and loans. Due to these reasons, Akkas Ali was suffering from family unrest. He often quarreled with his family members. He had attempted suicide twice before. He may have committed suicide by hanging himself with a towel around his neck from a ceiling fan in an empty house between 10:30 am and 2:45 pm on Monday. After receiving a call from locals on 999, the body was recovered and sent to the morgue of Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
