Discovery of the largest ‘structure’ in the universe
Scientists have discovered the largest structure in the universe. They claim that this structure is 13,000 times larger than the Milky Way. It has been named Quipu. Scientists have presented this information in a research report recently published in the journal Live Science.
Scientists say that the largest structure in the universe is currently the ‘Hercules-Corona Borealis Great Wall’. It is located 100 million light-years away from Earth. However, the issue is not yet resolved.
While researching the issue, scientists have discovered four other huge structures including Quipu. They say that these five superclusters occupy 45 percent of the clusters in the universe, 30 percent of the galaxies, and 25 percent of the matter. Many galaxy clusters form superclusters. The clusters are connected to each other by gravity. Our Milky Way galaxy is located in the Laniakea Supercluster.
The research team says that this structure can be seen with the naked eye on the cluster map. There is no need to follow any separate detection method.
Scientists say this new structure is so huge that it will soon collapse and form separate units.
