Direct flight on Dhaka-Karachi route after 14 years

Biman Bangladesh Airlines is going to start operating international flights on Dhaka-Karachi-Dhaka route again after a long 14 years. This flight is going to be launched from January 29. Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ Public Relations Department General Manager Bosra Islam gave this information in a press release today (January 7) on Wednesday.
The advertisement said that initially the flight will be operated on this route twice a week, on Thursdays and Saturdays. The flight will depart from Dhaka at 8 pm local time and arrive in Karachi at 11 pm. And it will depart from Karachi at 12 noon and arrive in Dhaka at 4:20 minutes.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines hopes that this will make passenger travel between Bangladesh and Pakistan easier and more convenient. It is also expected to create new possibilities for business, tourism and family travel.
Biman officials said that discussions have been going on with Pakistani authorities on this issue for several months. Once all preparations are complete, direct flights between Dhaka and Karachi will be launched for the first time since 2012. Following recent discussions on diplomatic contacts and cooperation, positive progress is being seen in bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan. Now Biman is also going to operate direct flights.
