Dipu Moni, Inu, Menon, Palak arrested in murder case
Former minister Dipu Moni, former state minister Junaid Ahmed Palak, former IGP Abdullah Al Mamun, Workers Party president and former minister Rashed Khan Menon, Jasdar president Hasanul Haque Inu and former journalist couple of private television channel 71 TV Sakil Ahmed and Farzana Rupa were arrest in a murder case of Tejgaon police station. The court ordered to arrest.
On Sunday, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saddam Hossain granted the application to show the arrest.
Senior lawyers for the accused applied for bail. After the hearing, the court rejected the application.
The court granted a 4-day remand to former education minister Dr. Dipu Moni in the case of Badda police station in the capital on August 24. Since then she has been remanded several times.
Shakeel and Rupa were detained from Dhaka Airport on August 21. The next day they were arrested in a murder case filed at Uttara Purba police station and sent to four days remand.
