    Dhaka’s air quality ‘very unhealthy’

    Air pollution is a major problem for the world. For a long time, the level of air pollution in various cities of the world has been increasing gradually due to various man-made reasons including climate change. The risk of death of various animals including humans is increasing abnormally due to the increase in air pollution. Pollution is also increasing in the air of densely populated Dhaka.

    According to the air pollution list of the international air quality technology company IQAir at around 9 am today, Sunday, Delhi, India, is at the top of the list of air pollution, with a score of 344. And the capital Dhaka is in third place with a score of 214, a score considered very unhealthy.

    At the same time, Lahore, Pakistan, is in second place in the list of the most polluted cities in the world, with a score of 260. Cairo, Egypt, is in fourth place, with a score of 184, and Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, is in fifth place with a score of 184.

    An AQI score of zero to 50 is considered good. 51 to 100 is considered to be tolerable or moderate. And for sensitive groups, a score of 101 to 150 is considered unhealthy. 151 to 200 is considered unhealthy. Similarly, an AQI score of 201 to 300 is considered very unhealthy. And if it is more than 301, it is considered disastrous.

    Air pollution poses serious health risks. It is harmful to people of all ages. However, air pollution is very harmful for children, sick people, the elderly and pregnant women.
