Development will be the main goal if elected by the people’s vote: Mirza Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that after a long time, the people of Bangladesh have regained their voting rights. He commented that the time has come to utilize this opportunity to establish a democratic and people’s government. He made these comments to reporters after submitting his nomination papers for Thakurgaon-1 constituency this Monday (December 29) afternoon.
The BNP Secretary General said that he has been nominated as the BNP candidate for Thakurgaon-1 constituency in the 13th National Parliament election. At this time, he expressed gratitude to BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and said, “They have given me the opportunity to contest from this constituency again, for which I am sincerely grateful to them.”
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also said, “I am grateful to the Most Gracious Allah; I have got the opportunity to serve the people of this region. If I can be elected with the love of the people, I will work for the overall development of the Thakurgaon region.’ He said that if elected, he will give special importance to the development of the social environment of the area, improving the quality of educational institutions, improving socio-economic conditions and expanding economic activities. He also assured that he will attach importance to creating employment and solving various problems of farmers. He expressed optimism and said, ‘People will vote spontaneously with the symbol of paddy sheaf.’
Enthusiasm and enthusiasm have been observed among BNP leaders and activists in the premises of the Deputy Commissioner’s office regarding the filing of nominations. The administration has taken necessary security measures to maintain law and order. According to the District Election Office, a total of 24 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates have collected nomination papers in the three parliamentary constituencies of the district till 5 pm yesterday, Sunday. Out of these, 3 candidates have accepted nomination papers in Thakurgaon-1 constituency, 10 in Thakurgaon-2 constituency and 11 in Thakurgaon-3 constituency.
