    Delhi has topped the air pollution list, what is Dhaka’s position?

    Delhi of India has topped the list of air pollution. But the capital Dhaka is in second place regarding pollution level. The information came out from the Air Quality Index, IQAir index, which monitors air quality at 9 am today, Thursday.

    Delhi tops with 278. Dhaka ranks second, with 222 being its score to reach the spot of second position, followed by extremely ‘unhealthy’ quality air. In third place is Lahore, Pakistan, in fourth is Tehran, Iran with a score of 197, while Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan rounds off the top five with a score of 181.

    A score between zero and 50 is considered good, whereas a score of 51 to 100 is considered moderate or tolerable. The sensitive groups are considered unhealthy at a score of 101 to 150. The general public is considered unhealthy with scores ranging from 151 to 200. If the score is between 201 to 300, it is considered very unhealthy. It is considered disastrous if the score is more than 301.

    Air pollution is one of the most serious risks to health. It is bad for all age groups. However, air pollution is especially harmful to children, the sick, the elderly, and pregnant women.
