Computer labs at CU in collaboration with PHP: 100 computers, modern generators and air conditioners inaugurated in two labs.

Two computer labs have been inaugurated in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Chittagong University with the financial support of PHP Family Chairman Sufi Mohammad Mizanur Rahman. Last Sunday morning, the computer mouse button click lab was inaugurated by Chittagong University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yahya Akhtar. At this time, Joint Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division of the ICT Division of the Government of Bangladesh Md. Monir Hossain was present.

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of CU and President of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of CU Professor Dr. Muhammad Sanaullah Chowdhury presided over the program, and Professors Dr. Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, Professor Dr. Mohammad Khairul Islam, Professor Dr. Mohammad Asior Rahman, teachers-students and officers-employees of the department were present.

The Vice Chancellor greeted everyone present at the program and expressed his gratitude and thanks to PHP Family Chairman Sufi Mohammad Mizanur Rahman. He said, “today is a good day for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The academic opportunities opened up to the students of this department through the inauguration of two computer labs will take the students’ educational career far ahead”. The Vice-Chancellor called on the government as well as wealthy individuals and institutions to come forward for the development of the academic and physical infrastructure of the university.

With the financial support of Sufi Mohammad Mi Janur Rahman, Chairman of the PHP Family, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Chittagong University has gifted 100 computers, high-power modern generators and sufficient number of air conditioners in 2 computer labs.
