Companiganj Upazila BNP leader suspended over extortion, encroachment allegations

Companiganj Upazila BNP President Sahab Uddin of Sylhet has been suspended from all party posts based on clear allegations of being involved in extortion, encroachment and multiple immoral activities against the party’s policies and ideals. This information was given in a notification signed by Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of the party’s central committee, on Monday (August 11). The notification said that Haji Abdul Mannan, Vice-President of Companiganj Upazila BNP, has been given the responsibility of acting president in place of Sahab Uddin. This decision will remain in effect until further orders.
