Committee starts investigation at Secretariat.
Top officials of different intelligence agencies along with police are trying to trace out the source and cause of the fire at the Secretariat. An eight-member high level investigation committee has also started the work.
Several teams of intelligence agencies were seen entering the Secretariat this Friday morning. Along with them, most of the members of the formed investigation committee entered the Secretariat in the morning.
Meanwhile, the members of the army, in addition to police, are deployed at the main gate of the Secretariat. No one is being allowed to enter except those involved in the investigation work, the intelligence agencies, and the relevant members of the law enforcement agencies.
The fire ravaged most in Building No. 7 housing the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, the Ministry of Labor and Employment, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports last Wednesday night.
It is learnt that power supply has not yet been normalized in different buildings of the Secretariat.
