Commission in talks with political parties on July Charter implementation
The National Consensus Commission is holding discussions with all political parties on the implementation process of the July Charter. Representatives of various parties including BNP, Jamaat, NCP participated in this important dialogue held at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Thursday (September 11) morning. It is learnt that the political parties participating in the dialogue will exchange views on various important issues including free and fair elections and maintaining democratic norms. It is to be noted that the final July Charter did not say anything about its implementation method. Therefore, the commission is holding talks with 30 political parties and alliances today to decide on the implementation method of the Charter. The concerned said that today’s discussion on the main demands and implementation process of the July Charter could be the basis for future political compromise.
