CID’s crime scene unit at Dhanmondi 32 to collect evidence

The CID’s crime scene unit has gone to the scene to collect evidence from the demolished Sheikh Mujibur Rahman house at Dhanmondi 32.

A CID team arrived there at 8 am today, Monday. A team from Dhanmondi Police Station has been deployed there to assist them.

The CID’s crime scene team has also taken equipment to collect evidence from there.

Incidentally, on February 5, angry students and the public demolished Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s house at 32, over the online speech of fugitive former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The agitators arrived at the building under construction next to the house. They saw a basement with several floors in that building. Although they were able to go down to two floors, water was visible on the next floor. It is estimated that there are several more floors below. After that, various discussions were going on for a few days about the location of the basement of this house.

To find out more about it, the fire service had been working to irrigate basement number 32 since Sunday morning. After completing the irrigation work, the fire service personnel left the scene around 1:15 pm. Then, on Monday, the CID’s crime scene unit arrived there to collect evidence.
