China, Russia and France call for ceasefire, Iran sets conditions
China, Russia and France have contacted Iran to end the ongoing war with the United States and the occupying Israel. The country’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibadi said that Iran’s first condition for a ceasefire is that there will be no further aggression against them.
On the morning of February 28, the United States and Israel launched a joint attack on Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other senior military officials. After that, Iran launched a counterattack targeting US infrastructure in Israel as well as in Middle Eastern countries.
As a result, the war spread throughout the Middle East. Today, Tuesday (March 10), US President Donald Trump said at a press conference in Florida that the war against Iran will be over very soon. He commented that the war could be over within days.
Figures from the US-based consulting firm Rapidan Energy Group say that the ongoing conflict has disrupted an estimated 20 percent of the world’s oil supply. This is almost double the record set during the 1956-57 Suez Canal Crisis.
A spokesman for Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Sunday that Tehran was using 60 percent of its military capabilities to attack US bases and “strategic interests” in the region.
