China and Pakistan announce 5-point declaration to end war
China and Pakistan have announced a joint 5-point initiative to restore peace and stability. The announcement was made after a meeting between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Beijing.
The 5 points are:
1. Immediately stop attacks on civilians and any civilian installations or targets.
2. Immediately stop all hostilities or war to resolve the conflict and ensure that this conflict does not spread to any new areas.
3. Peace talks should be started as soon as possible while ensuring the sovereignty and security of Iran and the Gulf countries. Both countries have pledged to provide necessary assistance to all parties concerned to make this negotiation process successful.
4. Ensure the security of the Strait of Hormuz, which is very important for international trade.
5. Establish a comprehensive and long-term peace framework in accordance with the UN Charter.
