Chief Advisor in Special Meeting with Political Parties

The Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, Professor Muhammad Yunus, held a special meeting with several political parties. The meeting began at the State Guest House Jamuna at around 11 am today (December 13). BNP sources said that BNP standing committee members Salahuddin Ahmed and Hafizuddin Ahmed Bir Bikram participated in the meeting.
On the other hand, the party’s Assistant Secretary General and Head of Publicity Department, Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, a member of the Jamaat delegation, said that they are also participating in the meeting. NCP’s Media Cell Chief Mushfiqur Us Salehin said, “The party’s convener Nahid Islam and the chief organizer of the southern region have gone at the invitation of the Chief Advisor. Recent issues may be discussed.”
Sharif Osman Hadi, a potential independent MP candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency and Inqilab Manch member, was shot dead in a terrorist attack on Friday (December 13). Following the attack, the Chief Advisor held an emergency meeting with some members of the Advisory Council and top officials of the law and order and security forces in Jamuna yesterday evening. He discussed the latest situation in detail in the meeting called at around 7:30 pm.
Following the attack, the Chief Advisor directly contacted Hadi’s family. He spoke to Hadi’s brother Omar Bin Hadi over the phone at 9 pm yesterday. Over the phone, the Chief Advisor said that the Advisory Council is deeply concerned and shocked by the attack on Osman Hadi.
