Chief Advisor congratulates Tarique Rahman

Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, has sent a message congratulating and wishing Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman for securing a huge majority in the 13th National Parliament elections.
In his congratulatory message to Tarique Rahman, the Chief Advisor said, “I sincerely congratulate you and wish you well for the victory of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party in the 13th National Parliament elections under your leadership. This clear verdict of the people in the historic process of democratic transition will be a very important milestone in the constitutional and democratic continuity and institutional stability of the country.”
He said, “I firmly believe that by fulfilling the important responsibility of running the state, you will lead the country on a stable, inclusive and development-oriented path in the light of your wisdom, democratic values ​​and public welfare-oriented spirit.” I recall the ideals and statesmanship of your father President Ziaur Rahman and the uncompromising leadership and commitment to democracy of your mother, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. The Principal Advisor said, Bangladesh stands today on the threshold of a new opportunity in the global arena.
